Of course, remember some classes cannot use certain objects and that points are needed to level up. You can lose a level if you go down too low. For example: a class needs 2,000pts to level up, you have those 2,000 and have now reached the next level. Except you spend 100 experience here, hence dropping you back to your original level. Communicate With Creatures: Gain the ability to learn the languages of other animals at the rate of one language per level. Just remember, when you eat something that you can speak to it may speak some unchaste words and give you quite the guilt trip.
(Usable by Hunter Class and Druid Class only.)
Cost: 1,250 pts.
Element: Choose an element to seek control over. (Fire, Air, Earth, Water, and Spirit.) Upon gaining that element, no matter what species, you will shift colors and gain a marking. Fire users will be decked in colors of red, orange, and black. Air users will be decked in colors of white, lavender, and grays. Water users will be decked in colors of blue, bluish white, and silver. Earth users will be decked in colors of brown, green, and grayish white. Spirit users will be decked in colors of slate, black, and red and will also appear underfed and degraded (patches of no fur/feathers, feathers will be constantly ruffled and messy and fur will appear unkempt and dirty).
(Usable by Druid class, Seer Class, Healer Class and Gypsy Class. Any classes that choose to use Spirit or Fire will become Chaotic.)
Cost: 1,500 pts.
Animal Companion: Usually a bird but can be anything. This grants you the friendship, or in chaotic cases control, over another animal. Through this bounding you gain a telepathic link to the creature allowing you to speak to him/her. When your companion dies you will feel a great sense of loss.
(Usable by Druid Class, Hunter Class, Gypsy Class, Seer Class, and Rogue Class.)
Cost: 1,000 pts.
Shape Shift: With this ability you are able to shift into the form of an animal of your choosing. Beware though as another gryphon may find you a tasty meal and some that change shape find it hard to go back. Some gryphons forget their true form and must be called back by another that can recognize the signs that an animal is something else entirely. Druid Classes, Rangers and ranks above (not below), and Clerics and ranks above (not below) are the only ones able to recognize these signs, so shift carefully.
You may shift twice per moon cycle so you may only shift between one full moon and another or one half moon and another etc. I do read threads and keep track and if you shift more than this alloted amount you will lose yourself in your animal form and must seek out a druid/shaman, cleric, or ranger.
(Druid Classes, Hunter Classes, & Gypsy Classes may gain this ability at level 7.)
Cost: 1,500 pts.
Shadow Jump: Allows you to “teleport” using shadows. You must know the place you are “jumping” to or risk becoming stuck in the shadows or with yourself cut in half. Not pleasant eh?
(This is usable by the rogue class only and may be gained at level 4.)
Cost: 1,000 pts.
Night Weaver: Gain the ability to “weave” the darkness about you. Though you are still physically present, as long as you remain in the shadows, you are invisible.
(This is usable by Rogue class only.)
Cost: 1,500 pts.
Immunity: Gain immunity to any spells cast that are meant to harm you. Can only be used for one fight.
(This is useable by any class that has reached second rank.)
Cost: 1,000 pts.
Storyteller: Gain the ability to enchant your audience while you speak. Audiences will be focused solely on you for the duration of your story/ballad. This skill also enhances the emotional impact of a story on the audience and usually inspires friendliness and possibly gifts from the audience to the bard (handy if you need a place to sleep for the night or some food to eat).
(Bard Class and Seer Class.)
Cost: 500 pts.
Endurance: Gain the ability to fight for longer (one additional strike), travel longer, and last longer under any additional circumstances. This skill does not make you all-powerful, however. It only adds additional strength to your overall abilities. If you overuse this power, you will lose the skill and may even find your strength and abilities lessened.
(Useable by Fighter Class from Squire Rank and higher only.)
Cost: 1,000 pts.
Markings/Tattoos: Want a special marking on your character? Want multi-hued eyes? Maybe two tails? No problem, simply pay up first and don't go overboard. =)
(All classes.)
Marking cost: 50 pts.
Body Change (two tails, four eyes, etc.): 125 pts.
Multi-hued parts or special colors (fluorescent feathers, two colored eyes, etc.): 75 pts.
