The world was simple, so far up. Just the stroke of a wing, the burn of frigid air in ones lungs. The simple freedom the silvered gryph enjoyed, a bearly seen speck against the endless blue skies.
Jaded optics scan the terrain below admiring the oddly shaped body of water. Prey was plentiful enough for her taste in this land.
Black banded silver wings folded against pale sides, sending the creature into a blinding dive, just above the treeline, those limbs of flight snapped open shifting the dive into a stoop. Skimming above the gryfalcon's beak parted with a carefree call.
She was here to stay...for the time being.

Alright, I'm working on a reply to this but do you mind fixing a few things first?
We aren't nit-picky like some sites and have little rules to posting but we would like to see at least 150 words a post since we are a semi-literate to literate site. You were only short by forty and otherwise the post was perfectly fine. =)
Also to aid with organizing and to possibly explain things that might raise questions in another player, we add this:
Number of Words: Things To Know: Character: Anything Else?
At the end of each post. I swear to you it only takes a moment. =) The only thing you actually need to fill out are the character and word count. =)
Otherwise I say lovely post to you, and I'll have one up with Trinity too. She's also a snow leopard and I think a gyrfalcon. o.O

(OOC: Epps! I'll fix that in the morning when I have a moment, both the count the character and my idiot fingers deciding to throw the word 'gryfalcon' in there. >.<; occasionally they don't like listening to my brain... She's a snow leopard and peregrine falcon )

Post by Sohrab the Bold on Dec 23, 2009 13:21:52 GMT -8
Sohrab, admiring his profile in the water, looked up at the sharp call in the air above. He had just finished grooming his long feathers, pleased to see them shine again, instead of the dull look caused by traveling for several days. He hadn't expected to find another gryphon here, although he realized that he shouldn't be surprised. The water was fresh and clean, and he expected fish swam in their depths. Too bad he'd never been much of a swimmer. He had the bad habit of sinking, and well...he didn't much like water.
Looking up at the dark silhouette, he called a greeting of his own back. It was nice to meet someone else, and Sohrab was always happy to find someone friendly to talk to. Of course, that assumed that the other gryphon was friendly, but...Why not? Sure, there were some strange cruel creatures out there, but no one making such a joyous call in flight could be one of them. He ruffled his feathers slightly, puffing out the mane-like black crest, before settling back comfortably to wait on the other's reply.
The sun was warm on his thick coat, and he felt a deep sense of comfort and peace. Really, it was a good life he led, and he was proud of himself. Maybe he couldn't fix every problem he saw, but he could lead a good life, and help those who needed it...and in the process, make a few good friends who would maybe see things as he did. He gave a slight contented sigh. It really was a lovely day.
Number of Words: 275 Things To Know: Sohrab is big and intimidating looking, but he's also really friendly. He apparently likes meeting strangers, too. lol. Character: Sohrab Anything Else? Heehee. It's fun to RP a character that's completely opposite Blade and the chars I usually play.
