Sohrab wasn't really sure what the heck he was doing.
He wasn't especially good at playing the 'knight-errant' role, wandering about the countryside. No, it wouldn't do in the long term, this aimless wandering, grexless and alone with only his god and his morals to defend. Even now he was feeling a bit...adrift. The gryphon wasn't even completely sure where he was now; it was some mountain that he'd landed on, but beyond that he was clueless. Not, of course, that this lack of information bothered the brash young fighter. He wasn't the type to obsess over information, and it would be nice to find himself stumbling into the territory of another. Maybe something fun would happen! Yeah, he needed to get his blood boiling again, Sohrab felt as though he had been too docile for too long.
The wind wasn't terrible that day, typical of early spring with a nip in the air and a bright sky above. It was more of an easy breeze, there to play with the beige fur on his lion-built haunches and make the long feathers of his crest bob and weave almost comically. Almost, because no matter how the male's feathers were flying, he was still a giant among his kind, and none but the purest of heart wouldn't feel a bit of tremor at the power behind his paws even as he trod along nonchalantly. Sohrab took a steadying breath of the cool air, tasting the thinner atmosphere through the nostrils on his beak. For the moment, he was having a bit of a cool-down, an easy walk after his regimental morning flight exercise. The clouds at daybreak had been magnificent, and he recalled happily them as he shambled through the undergrowth. He would've been, had he been human, one of that horde that floods urban sidewalks at daybreak in sweats and walkmen, committed to a life of waking up before the rest of the world and jogging in silence through the irreality of normally busy places almost put on pause. Instead, as a winged beast, Sohrab was happy to have his morning flights, long stretches of cloud-dancing that strengthened his wings and allowed him to wake up to the sun rising in the color-changing clouds.
These wings of his, broad and steady and able to launch this ~400lb feathered monstrosity into the sky with admirable grace, were now folded on his back rather comfortably, showing only their outer black-brown coloring and hiding the mottle of black and grey that banded the plumage on their undersides. How desolate, this place! But beautiful, something the pious foreigner wouldn't think to miss. Sohrab had an eye for natural beauty, and was of a simple mindset that allowed him to enjoy it for what it was-- an enviable quality by those with too many thoughts to see what surrounded them.
His paws grazed the ground lightly, front talons intractable and blunt leaving faint lines in the loose soil and grass. The eagle-lion didn't leave too much evidence of his passing behind him, for all his noticability now, though surely an experienced hunter or tracker could've followed him if they'd a mind to. It wasn't really a concern for Sohrab, though. He was feeling a bit lonely, and a scout would have at least given him someone to talk to...or scrap with. He hadn't gotten his blood boiling in some time, and for the righteous beast such inactivity either meant he had gotten lazy or fully eradicated evil.
Number of Words: 612 Things To Know: Erm. It's all up there. Character: Sohrab. Anything Else? If there was anything else to say, it would be in the post? I don't understand this, but here it is.

Nalini was out and about , she thought a nice day like this could not be wasted. She was heading to the dragon mount to study the herb “web leaf”. Being a healer she was always interested in herbs and their uses. Nalini was always interested in any type of information really, she always wanted to know any and everything. She always thought that knowledge was the key to live a happy and long life. She thought that if you were educated you could avoid any and all dangers if you only understood what was going on. But how could you, if you didn’t have any knowledge or recollection of something.
She flew through the air like a small bird, yes Nalini was small very small. She would stay away from others sometimes because the were bigger than her, a lot bigger. This only happened on rare occasions though, she would usually stand up to others who are bigger than her. She didn’t care, you could call her bold I guess. They would laugh at her most of the time anyway and either flick her away or let her punch at them a little while. It would most likely leave a wound but nothing serious, although she could leave serious wounds. Considering her size she was a hard target to hit and she was fast. As she made her way up the cliff she saw another figure. She guessed it was another gryphon although from the looks of it, it had to be huge. She of course decided to go investigate . As she grew closer she found out that she was right it was a gryphon and her assumption was right he was big. She flew over as quietly as she could to a near by rock and hid behind it trying not to be seen. Nalini was came to study a herb, but now she was study another of her kind. How interesting she thought.
