This is a basic guideline covering the skills of those who are spiritually gifted. When using skills, take into consideration the level and rank of your gryphon to make sure what they’re doing is reasonable. Also, don’t forget that this is meant as a loose guideline: use creativity to make these skills useful for your character!
Bards:
Gypsies:
Healers:
Seers:
*Power is directly related to level; the higher the level your character is, the higher their skill level and the stronger they are in their respective gifting
*Epic Level: 4th rank
*Illusions are things that appear real, but have no substance. 1st rank can only create visual illusions, 2nd rank can create visual and auditory illusions (sights and sounds), 3rd rank can create visual, auditory, and scent illusions, and 4th rank can create illusions that affect all the senses (sight, sound, scent, and touch). So that feeling of an invisible wind might just be an epic level gryphon casting an illusion on you.
*No gryphon has the skill to actually “mind read” but seers can be very close to it (or at least seem like they can) due to their ability to predict the future and sense personal things about others
Bards:
Can sing (obviously)
When singing, they can create illusions (things that appear real, but have no actual substance)
3rd rank and up bards can distract their audience enough with their illusions that their audience forgets everything else (assuming there aren't loud bangs and whatnot to distract)
They can use these illusions to confuse and manipulate (making others see things that aren’t there, hear strange noises, etc)
Epic level can sometimes sing small inanimate objects into reality
Gypsies:
Have more powerful conjury skills than bards
Can create illusions (things that appear real, but have no actual substance)
They can use illusions to confuse and manipulate
Can affect the weather (bringing fog, rain, storms, etc); the more powerful they are the more affect they have on the weather and the longer it lasts (examples: a 1st rank wouldn’t be able to call a storm if there aren’t any clouds in the sky, but an epic level could; a 1st rank’s fog might only last a few minutes, while an epic level might be to hold it in place for hours)
3nd rank and up can attack with spirituality by twisting natural forces to their will, though it often doesn’t work the way the gryphon intends; this also leaves the gryphon exhausted and defenseless against physical attacks (examples: calling down lightening on enemies, calling plants to grow up and tangle an enemy’s legs, etc)
Can defend with spirituality by creating “shield walls” (temporary invisible walls created by compacted air)
Epic level have the highest chance of attacking accurately with spirituality (about a 60-70% chance)
Healers:
Can heal wounds
3rd rank and up can heal fatal wounds with their god’s help (assuming that they get there before the fatal wound kills the gryphon)
Epic level may be able to resurrect the dead with their god’s help (the god must agree); necromancers can reanimate anything dead (but not resurrect)
Seers:
Can see past, present, and future
Are able to “see” things about others that they wouldn't normally know (this includes name, skills, class, personality, internal struggles, and sometimes an idea of what the other is going to say/do next)
More powerful ones can see the future more often; less powerful can see less often
2nd rank and up can see events presently happening in other parts of the world
Epic level become blind and spend most of their time seeing the events of other times and places
Epic level can sometimes effect or redirect the future (with their god’s permission/bidding) by speaking prophecies (the problem with this is that it can take years for the prophecy to come true; this is generally rare and said prophecies don’t always work/turn out the way expected)
